CESAR at Electrostatics 2025 in Bologna, Italy
This week, the Centre of Excellence for Safety Research (CESAR) is taking part in the Electrostatics 2025 Conference, held from 9–12 November 2025 in Bologna, Italy. Organized by AIDIC – The Italian Association of Chemical Engineering and chaired by prof. Ernesto Salzano, the conference brings together leading researchers and industry experts to discuss the latest advances in electrostatics, safety, and industrial standards.
Dr. Stefan Spitzer opened CESAR's contributions with two presentations: "Ignition Sources: Real World vs. Laboratory Standards" and "The Exploding Wire: A Novel Ignition Source for the Determination of Safety Characteristics".
We are proud to see our researchers contributing to the discussion on electrostatic hazards, safety in industrial environments, and the connection between scientific research and practical applications.
